High-Speed Oval Track Officially Opened

On May 14, 2025, ZalaZONE celebrated a major milestone with the ceremonial opening of its High-Speed Oval Track, one of the most advanced modules of the proving ground to date. Spanning 4.45 kilometers, the new track sets a new benchmark for high-speed and durability testing in Hungary and beyond.

Engineered for stability and precision, the oval allows safe, neutral driving up to 180 km/h, while speeds of up to 270 km/h can be achieved in the banked curves. With its four-lane layout, Bloss-geometry transitions, and compliance with international standards such as UNECE R79 and ISO 15037-1, the track is perfectly suited for both passenger and commercial vehicle testing.

At the launch event, guests had the opportunity to experience the thrill of high-speed driving, reaching over 200 km/h alongside professional drivers. Demonstrations included robot-driven maneuvers and Fun Drive sessions on high-performance tracks.

With the High-Speed Oval now complete, AVL ZalaZONE offers a full-spectrum testing environment for the entire vehicle development lifecycle — from urban conditions to high-speed validation.
