AVL ZalaZONE featured in Automotive Testing Technology International

We’re proud to share that AVL ZalaZONE is prominently featured in the March 2025 edition of Automotive Testing Technology International. The cover story, “For the Duration,” explores best practices in durability testing, with insights from leading experts and test facilities across Europe.

In the article, Zoltán Hamar, Managing Director of AVL ZalaZONE, emphasizes the importance of reliable measurement systems in extreme testing environments. He explains that test data integrity is often challenged by temperature shifts, vibration, and sensor wear. As durability campaigns grow longer and more complex, ensuring accurate measurement under these conditions is essential for successful development programs.

ZalaZONE’s expertise is further illustrated through a detailed case study, where a commercial vehicle was subjected to a multi-month road durability program on the proving ground’s rural road module. The test simulated a 50,000 km operational cycle under demanding conditions—including potholes, steep grades, gravel, and asphalt transitions. The goal: to assess long-term corrosion resistance and sealing integrity every 10,000 km.

This feature highlights ZalaZONE’s capability to support global OEMs and Tier 1s with highly instrumented, real-world validation, combining advanced data acquisition, rugged infrastructure, and a skilled local team.
